Valley uses our Warehouse Management System (WMS) to keep up with the ever changing technological needs of customers. Our system’s capability with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) is used to keep information and data organized. The use of EDI makes communication between Valley Distributing & Storage and our customers accurate and fast. In addition to EDI we do an exchange of flat files, custom interfaces, and less sophisticated methods.

The WMS offers canned as well as customized reporting options based on our customer’s needs. Reports can be easily emailed and uploaded to any computer using Microsoft Excel, while electronic records and scanning capabilities are also available. We can also schedule reports to go out automatically.

We provide our customers with the ability to track inventory quantities and notify them of low order threshold amounts so inventories can be replenished.

We also provide the ability to track your inventory by FIFO, Storer Lot, or Expiration Date and can print your labels in many formats. With these inventory tracking options, detailed traceability for your inventory can be easily supplied. Inventory management is needed throughout a supply chain to make sure the whole chain runs smoothly.
